Biopsy in the differential diagnosis of limited destructive spinal lesions in children
Keywords: Children, tuberculosis, spine
AbstractFor the purpose of preoperative differential diagnosis of limited destructive lesions of the vertebrae in children, a percutaneous biopsy should be performed. In the absence of an electron-optical transducer (C-arc), the biopsy of the vertebral bodies can be performed under x-ray control, however, it requires a clear volumetric picture of the spine and the presence of appropriate needles for a bone biopsy. The informative value of percutaneous trepanbiopsy with limited destructive lesions of the vertebrae in children reaches 75%.
